2026 Taste of Rotary Committee Meeting

We welcom Jim Lansing to speak at the Hutchinson Rotary Meeting. 

Jim Lansing is the new Executive Director of the Hutchinson Center for the Arts, bringing a blend of artistic talent, teaching experience, and nonprofit leadership to the role. His background includes:

  • Pianist & Music Director — A seasoned performer with deep roots in collaborative music-making.
  • Arts Educator — Known for helping students build confidence, creativity, and practical musical skills.
  • Nonprofit Administrator — Experienced in community arts programming and organizational leadership.
  • Community Connector — Passionate about building relationships with local artists, organizations, and residents.

Jim describes himself as a teaching artist who loves arranging music that students want to play and helping them understand the “why” behind the music. His leadership style is collaborative and artist-centered.

Cory Vance serves as the Director of Youth for Christ, where he leads with a heart for mentorship, relationship‑building, and Christ‑centered outreach. With a passion for walking alongside young people, Cory focuses on creating safe, welcoming spaces where students can encounter hope, belonging, and the transformative love of Jesus.

He is known for his relational leadership style, his ability to connect with teens from all backgrounds, and his commitment to partnering with churches, schools, and community organizations to strengthen local youth ministry. Cory brings energy, authenticity, and a deep sense of calling to his work, helping students discover their identity, purpose, and God‑given potential.

When he’s not investing in young people, Cory enjoys spending time with his family, serving in the community, and building meaningful connections that support the mission of Youth for Christ.

Join us at the Crow River Winery in Hutchinson for our upcoming event in the beautiful Fireside Room. Crow River Winery, a renowned farm winery and event center located along Highway 7—just 45 minutes west of Lake Minnetonka—has been nurturing Minnesota Cold Climate grapes in five vineyards since 2004. Enjoy our exceptional ciders, crafted from the finest apples handpicked from our own orchard. Dinner will be served for a cost of $10.00. This workshop offers Rotarians from various clubs the opportunity to connect, share diverse ideas, and engage in meaningful discussions. Come experience the warm atmosphere, wonderful drinks, and the spirit of camaraderie—don’t miss out!
